TwoPeas FAQ
TwoPeas is a voice-first AI companion: an animated character you talk to out loud, in your browser, that remembers your story. Here's how it works, what it keeps and what it costs.
Getting started
Do I need to download an app?
No. TwoPeas runs in your web browser on a computer or phone. Open twopeas.ai, create an account and start talking. You can add it to your home screen from your browser's menu if you want it one tap away.
Which devices and browsers work?
Any recent version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox on desktop, and Safari or Chrome on iPhone and Android. You need a microphone and speakers or headphones.
Why does TwoPeas ask for my microphone?
TwoPeas is a voice conversation, so your browser asks once for permission to use the microphone. The mic is only live while a call is open, and we don't store raw audio recordings. If you said no by accident, allow the microphone for twopeas.ai in your browser's site settings.
Is it free to try?
Yes. A new account gets 10 free minutes, then 3 free minutes every day. No card is needed for the free plan.
Voice and avatars
How fast does it reply?
It's real-time speech-to-speech: you talk, and your companion answers out loud in about a second, without you typing or pressing send.
Who can I talk to?
Everyone starts with Jenny. You can switch to Alexia, Robbie or Aiden from the companion picker in the app, and give your companion a name of your own. Each is an animated Live2D character.
Does the avatar actually move?
Yes. Your companion's lips move with its voice, it blinks and breathes, and its face changes expression with the conversation: smiling at good news, softening when you're down.
Can I change how my companion talks?
Yes. You can choose the kind of relationship you want (a friend, a coach or a mentor, for example) and tune its personality, so it isn't just agreeing with you.
Memory
Does TwoPeas remember me between calls?
Yes. After a conversation your companion keeps notes on what matters (names, plans, how things went) and brings them up later, so you don't have to repeat yourself.
Can I see, edit or delete what it remembers?
Yes. The Memory page shows everything your companion has kept. You can search it, edit a memory that's wrong, delete a single memory, or delete a whole conversation and everything learned from it.
What are Memory Cards?
Memory Cards are keepsakes minted from real moments in your conversations. You get one free pull every week, and extra pulls cost Peas.
Does it remember everything forever?
No. It keeps the things that seem important, not every word, and it can get details wrong. If it does, edit that memory on the Memory page and it will use the corrected version.
Privacy
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell or rent your data. We share it only with the providers that run the service (hosting, the speech and language models, memory storage, analytics and payments), as listed in our privacy policy.
Are my calls recorded?
We don't store raw audio recordings or voiceprints. Audio streams to the voice model while a call is open; what's kept is the text: transcripts and the memories made from them.
How long do you keep my conversations?
Conversation memories are kept until you delete them, or for up to 24 months after you close your account. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time.
Read the full privacy policy.
