For older adults, and the people who love them

Why this works

The shape of this companion

Voice only, no typing

Speak normally and hear a friendly voice answer in about a second. No keyboard, no menus to learn.

Nothing to install

It runs in the web browser on a tablet, computer or phone, so there's no app store and no updates to manage.

Remembers the family news

Grandchildren's names, the garden, the doctor's appointment next Tuesday. It keeps the key facts and asks about them later.

Long afternoons can be quiet. TwoPeas gives older adults someone to chat with about the day, old stories, a favorite recipe or the grandchildren, whenever they like. The companion is an animated character with a warm voice; its face reacts while it talks, so there’s a friendly face to look at, not just a voice.

Setting it up for a parent or grandparent takes a few minutes: create the account, allow the microphone once, and show them the mic button. After that, it’s just talking.

Please know its limits. TwoPeas is a companion for conversation. It isn’t a medical device, it doesn’t monitor anyone’s health or safety, and it can’t call family or emergency services. It’s free to start with 10 minutes, then 3 minutes every day; paid plans start at $14.99/mo for 110 voice minutes a month.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is TwoPeas easy for an older person to use?

It's designed around talking, not typing. Once the account is set up and the microphone is allowed, using it means tapping one button and speaking.

What device does it need?

A tablet, computer or phone with a web browser, a microphone and speakers. There's no app to download.

Can it alert family or call for help?

No. TwoPeas doesn't monitor health or safety and can't contact anyone. Keep using a medical alert service or other safety arrangements you already rely on.

Is it a replacement for visits and calls from family?

No. It's a friendly voice for the in-between hours, not a substitute for the people in someone's life.

What if someone is in crisis?

TwoPeas is not a crisis service. In the US, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free helplines by country. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
