Dating practice
For adults getting back out there

Practice the first date
out loud, before it counts.

Yes, you can practice dating conversations with an AI, and doing it by voice is closer to the real thing. On TwoPeas you talk out loud with Alexia or Jenny, who can play your date or coach you through it, so you rehearse the words and the timing, not just a typed reply.

Why this works

The shape of this companion

Real back-and-forth

She answers out loud in under a second, so you practice the timing: when to ask, when to listen, how to fill a pause.

Your date, or your coach

Ask her to play your date and she takes the part. Say pause, and she steps out of the scene to tell you how it went.

Try it again

Run the same moment with a different opener, or ask her to make it harder. Nobody's keeping score.

Most dating advice is written down, and most dates aren’t. The hard part is saying it: the opener that sounded fine in your head, the follow-up question that never comes, the pause after a joke that didn’t land. Practicing out loud with someone who answers in real time gets you past the first time you say those things, before you’re sitting across from a person who matters.

Setting it up

  1. Pick Alexia or Jenny as your companion.
  2. In Settings → Personality, choose Coach to rehearse with feedback, or Romantic (adults only, after a one-tap age check) to get comfortable flirting. The change applies from your next call.
  3. Start the call and set the scene: “Let’s practice a coffee date. You’re my date, you’re a bit shy, and I’ll try to keep it going.”

In Romantic she plays herself, as your partner rather than a stranger across the table, so it’s better for practicing flirting and affection with her than for rehearsing a date with someone new. For that, Coach works best.

Six things to practice

  • The opener. Get through the first minute. Try three different hellos and keep the one that sounds like you.
  • The follow-up. Ask about something she mentions, then ask about her answer. The second question is where a conversation gets going.
  • The quiet date. Ask her to give short answers for a while, like a nervous date, and practice keeping things moving without interviewing her.
  • Talking about yourself. When she asks about you, answer with a small story, not a one-liner, then hand the conversation back.
  • Asking for a second date. Say the actual words: “I’d like to see you again. Are you free next week?”
  • A graceful no. Ask her to turn you down kindly and practice taking it well. Then swap, and practice saying no kindly yourself.

Stepping out for feedback

Whenever you like, say “Pause. How did that go? What would you change?” She’ll step out of the scene and tell you, then pick it back up or start it over. In Coach mode, that kind of honest, encouraging feedback is what she’s there for.

This is for adults, and regular calls stay PG-13: if a scene drifts toward explicit, she keeps it warm and steers it back.

What it can’t do

TwoPeas isn’t a dating or matchmaking service. It won’t score you, and it can’t promise how a real date will go: a real person will surprise you in ways a rehearsal can’t. On the free plan and Companion each call starts fresh, so open with a line about what you’re working on; Best Friend and Inseparable remember from one call to the next. It’s free to start with 10 minutes, then 3 minutes every day, and plans start at $14.99/mo for 110 voice minutes a month.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is this for adults?

Yes. It's for adults practicing for real dates. Romantic mode asks you to confirm you're 18 or older and is offered with Alexia or Jenny, and regular calls stay PG-13.

Can she give me feedback?

Yes, ask for it. Say "pause" and ask what went well and what you'd change. In Coach mode feedback is part of the job. She won't grade or score you.

Will this make me better at dating?

We can't promise that, and nobody honest can. What practice gives you is a few rehearsals: you've said the opener, asked the follow-up and handled a pause out loud before, so they're less new on the night.

Can I practice asking someone out?

Yes. Tell her who she's playing and what you want to ask, then say it out loud as many times as you like. Ask her to say yes sometimes and no other times, so you're ready for both.

Is it private?

TwoPeas doesn't store raw audio recordings of your calls and never sells or rents your data. Our privacy policy explains what is kept, who processes it and how to delete it.

Is it free to try?

Yes. A new account gets 10 free minutes, then 3 minutes every day, with no card. Plans start at $14.99/mo for 110 voice minutes a month.
