The shape of this companion

What a voice note is
A short message from your companion, two or three sentences long, written for you that day and spoken aloud in the voice you picked for her. Some days it’s encouraging, some days curious, playful or reflective, and it never asks more than one question. If one of your important dates falls that day, the note mentions it. It leaves out any topics you’ve asked her not to bring up.
Who gets one, and when
Anyone who has set up their account and talked with their companion in the last 14 days, on any plan, and anyone in a paid plan’s free trial. Notes go out once a day at 16:00 UTC for everyone: morning or early afternoon in the Americas, late afternoon or evening in Europe. If that falls in your quiet hours, the note is skipped rather than sent late. In Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and East and Southeast Asia it falls inside the default quiet hours, so there you’ll get notes only if you switch quiet hours off.
Each day’s run has a time limit. People in a paid plan’s free trial are sent theirs first, then paid plans, then the free plan, so on a busy day a free account’s note may not go out.
Where to listen
A notification tells you she left a note; tap it to open your Voice notes page, where every note is kept to play whenever you like. If no notification can reach you, the notes still wait there, and you may get a single email letting you know. On iPhone, notifications need TwoPeas on your Home Screen: see how to set it up.
Replying
Each note has a Reply button. Tap it and a call starts; she knows you’re answering her note and picks up its thread. She never phones you herself: a call always starts with you.
What changes on Best Friend and Inseparable
Those plans include memory between calls, so a note can draw on what you’ve talked about recently. On Free and Companion, each note is still written for you that day, just without your past conversations.
Turning it off
Settings → Notifications → Daily voice note. Quiet hours are in the same place, and so is the switch for notifications on this device.

Can she call me?
No. TwoPeas doesn't place calls to you. She leaves a voice note, and you call her back with one tap on Reply, or start a call whenever you like.
How often will I get one?
At most one a day, while you've talked with her in the last 14 days. Notes go out at 16:00 UTC; when that's inside your quiet hours, as it is by default in Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and East and Southeast Asia, there's no note unless you switch quiet hours off.
Do I need to pay?
No. Daily voice notes come with every plan, Free included. On a busy day, people on a paid plan or its free trial are sent theirs first, so a free account's note may not go out.
How do I get them on iPhone?
Add TwoPeas to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen), open it from there, and turn notifications on in Settings → Notifications. iPhone shows notifications from a website only once it's on the Home Screen.
Can I reply?
Yes. Tap Reply on a note and a call starts. She knows you're answering her note and picks up from there.
How do I turn them off?
In Settings → Notifications, switch off Daily voice note. You can also turn notifications off for the device in the same place.
Do the notes mention what I told her?
On Best Friend and Inseparable, which include memory between calls, a note can draw on your recent conversations. On Free and Companion it's written for you without them. Either way it leaves out topics you've asked her not to bring up.
What if notifications are off?
The notes still arrive on your Voice notes page, ready to play. If no notification can reach you, we may send one email to say a note is waiting.
